Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Bachelor’s degree required, additional consideration to applicants with master’s degree (preferred in sports management, business administration, or a related field).
+ 2-3 years of prior experience in an administrative or coaching role within a collegiate athletics program.
+ Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, Including Word, Excel and Teams.
+ Knowledge of general University policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with group travel.
+ Experience with film editing breakdown via Synergy/Hudl Sportscode.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
+ Experience with ARMS Software.
+ Experience with Teamworks Software.
+ Experience setting up virtual meetings and presentations.
Job Description
Texas State University, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, is seeking applications for the position of Coordinator, Team Operations for Men’s Basketball. This position is a full-time benefits eligible position and reports to the Head Coach for Men’s Basketball
Job Duties
+ Manage team’s practice and game schedules, assist the head coach in coordinating game-related communications with visiting teams, game officials, and support personnel
+ Organize team travel arrangements, including transportation, lodging, meals, and related expenses
+ Coordinate academic support services for student-athletes including monitoring class attendance, grade point average, and assisting in study halls
+ Manage the program’s budget and financial operations, while ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations and institutional policies
+ Coordinate the recruitment process, including the scheduling of official and unofficial visits, and correspondence with prospects
+ Collaborate with marketing and promotions to plan and execute community outreach, fan engagement, and alumni events
+ Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives, including donor relations, and solicitation efforts
+ Collaborate with other athletic department units such as compliance, sports medicine, and strength and conditioning to ensure student-athlete welfare and NCAA compliance
+ Film editing breakdown via Synergy/Hudl Sportscode
