    Job Description

Are you ready to step into a high-tech, high-impact role that truly saves lives? We’re looking for an experienced, certified, and passionate **Cardiac Cath Lab Tech** to join our dynamic heart team! You’ll be at the center of the action—prepping the lab, assisting during life-changing cardiac procedures, scrubbing in with cardiologists, and operating state-of-the-art X-ray or monitoring equipment.

    What You' Do:

+ Prep the Cardiac Cath Lab like a pro.

+ Scrub in and assist cardiologists during critical procedures.

+ Operate X-ray and monitoring equipment with confidence and precision.

+ Keep a sharp eye on patient vitals, rhythms, and responses—because every second counts.

+ Work closely with cardiologists, who will review and report results.

+ Be an essential part of a lifesaving team.

    What You Need to Bring:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Certified Cardiovascular Tech (or equivalent combo of education and hands-on experience).

+ At least **2 years** of experience in an active Cardiac Cath Lab (or equivalent environment).

+ Current **BLS** and **ACLS** certifications (and must be maintained throughout employment).

+ Physically able to wear a lead apron (5–7 lbs) for up to 3 hours—and ready to walk, stand, stoop, and hustle when needed.

+ Solid understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and equipment.

+ Math whiz when it comes to calculating gradients, shunts, and cardiac outputs.

+ Able to spot life-threatening arrhythmias across all types of monitoring.

+ Skilled in interpreting intracardiac ECGs and measuring those all-important intervals.

+ Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—for accurate record-keeping and teamwork.

+ Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs when positioning patients

Working at University Health is about making a difference. It's providing the best care to every patient every day.
