    Job Description

    Olsson takes on anything from backyard flooding problems in a community to the complex challenges such as: drainage master plan development, storm drain design, hydrologic modeling, bridge and culvert hydraulic design, scour modeling, erosion control and stream bank stabilization, and water quality projects. As a Project Engineer on the Water Resources team, you will provide various engineering and project management duties related to evaluating, designing, and constructing projects. You may assist with developing the project scope and schedule, project documentation, proposal writing and reviewing shop drawings. Travel may be needed to job sites for observation in all types of terrain and weather conditions, as well as project sites in various stages of construction. Additionally, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

     

    + Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for floodplain/storm drain modeling and mapping.

    + Innovate and introduce new ideas to projects, showcasing your creativity and initiative.

    + Facilitate the production of design plans, bid documents and quantity estimates.

    Qualifications

    You bring to the team:

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Ability to contribute and work well on a team.

    + Bachelor’s Degree in engineering.

    + Must be a registered professional engineer.

    + At least 5 years of related water resource engineering experience.

    + Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, XPSWMM or other related hydrologic and hydraulic software.
