Description
The University of Rochester Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting for a full time Genetic Counselor in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Genetics. The responsibilities of this position will include prenatal and preconception genetic counseling and all associated activities at our four outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine locations. This will include extensive interaction with Clinical Genetics Laboratories, Ob/Gyn Ultrasound, and other Ob/Gyn and non-Ob/Gyn subspecialties in coordination of patient care. As a full-time member of the faculty, this position will take an active role in teaching third year medical students during their clerkship, residents and fellows during their ultrasound rotations and scheduled lectures as well as other trainees. In addition, this position will have the opportunity to participate in research activities related to Reproductive Genetics.
Qualifications
Candidate must have a Master’s Degree from a Genetic Counseling Program with board certification from or board eligibility for the American Board of Genetic Counseling. A post-offer health assessment and drug testing is required to be performed on-site.

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
