Job Summary
The University Advancement Donor Relations’ Office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing and Email Specialist to support donor communications and digital outreach. This full-time role is part of the Stewardship team and helps plan, create, and send email campaigns that highlight the impact of giving, promote engagement, and support fundraising goals across campus.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable working with data, and interested in gaining experience in digital marketing, analytics, and content coordination. While the position will begin under close supervision, it offers room for growth and increasing strategic responsibility over time.
This position reports to the Director of Campus Stewardship and may occasionally support other members of the Donor Relations team.
Responsibilities
+ Support the planning, testing, and execution of targeted email and digital campaigns, tracking and reporting on performance.
+ Maintain and oversee the email campaign calendar, ensuring timely execution aligned with university priorities and brand standards.
+ Implement and improve audience segmentation strategies for personalized donor outreach.
+ Analyze campaign metrics (e.g., open and click-through rates) and suggest adjustments to boost engagement.
+ Use project management tools to track timelines, deliverables, and team collaboration.
+ Monitor progress and help resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.
+ Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations and best practices in accessibility and deliverability.
+ Stay current with trends and best email marketing practices, particularly in higher education.

Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience in email marketing, digital communications, or a related field.
Proficiency in email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or equivalent tools.
Preferences
+ Experience with CRM systems commonly used in higher education; Salesforce experience is highly desirable.
+ An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and recommend improvements.
+ Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to tone, clarity, and audience engagement.
+ Basic knowledge of HTML / CSS for email formatting.
+ Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, or platform-specific dashboards.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
