The Infant Studies of Language and Neurocognitive Development (ISLAND) Lab at NYU, directed by Dr. Natalie H. Brito, is seeking a full-time Research Coordinator to begin Summer 2025. The Research Coordinator will work collaborativelly with a team of postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate research assistants and support the management of projects examining early trajectories of brain and behavior during infancy and toddlerhood. There may be opportunities to attend research conferences and co-author manuscripts. Funds for professional development may also be available. Research Coordinator Responsibilities:
+ Assist with organization and coordination of lab projects
+ Perform general administrative duties
+ Manage IRB protocols and compliance
+ Train and supervise undergraduate research assistants
+ Conduct studies with families (e.g., recruiting, scheduling, and data collection)
+ Data processing and coding
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Per NYU's remote-work policy, this position is expected to be fully in-person.
This position will supervise 1-3 undergraduate researchers.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bacherlor's degree
+ Strong organizational, managerial, and problem-solving skills are essential
+ Ability to interact warmly and professionaly with caregivers and children
+ Excellent interpersonal communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
+ Availability for flexible scheduling, including some evenings and weekends for data collection
+ Proficiency in one or more programming languages (R, Matlab, Python)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Can commit a minimum of 2 years
+ Previous research experience
+ Experience with data management software (REDCap, Qualtrics)
+ Some proficiency in Spanish
