ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY.... (Ability to work Remote)
We are seeking an innovative and experienced Learning Experience Designer & Technical Trainer to join the Technical Enablement team. In this role, you will
collaborate with program managers, product managers, and engineers to create, implement, and evaluate effective learning programs for our implementation-focused
staff and partners. You will play a critical role in equipping teams with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in onboarding customers, implementing complex
solutions, and driving partner success with our SaaS platform.
Our ideal candidate is learner-centric, has an ability to synthesize various inputs, works well in an agile course design and development process, has a passion to gain a deep
understanding of SaaS implementation and professional services workflows, and creates learning experiences that apply adult-learning best practices. You are curious
and comfortable asking questions, a self-starter, problem solver, and take initiative. You will help develop strategy, standards, processes, and procedures for developing
technical training at Iron Mountain.
Key Responsibilities
• Consult with leadership and senior members of the department to identify needs and prioritize them based on level of impact
• Work with SMEs to identify learning objectives, design learning experiences (both synchronous and asynchronous), and develop content that meets the
needs of the topic and role. Learning modalities may include (but aren’t limited to) coaching and mentorship, job aids, e-learning, instructor-led, and hands-on
activities/projects.
• Act as a consultant and provide suggestions and guidance on instructional design strategies and technology
• Develop ways to evaluate the outcomes of learning solutions to determine if objectives were met. Use this feedback to improve iteratively.
• Implement data-driven approaches to evaluate program effectiveness, leveraging analytics to inform continuous improvement of learning initiatives
• Facilitate instructor-led training and workshops (virtual & in-person)
• Contribute to change management strategies by developing targeted learning interventions that support organizational transformation
• Apply research skills to assess current and prospective technologies and innovative products to enhance the leaner's experience
• Maintain currency in learning sciences, instructional design principles, and emerging technologies and trends related to higher education
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring for team members to reinforce learning and address skill gaps
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure training programs reflect the latest product capabilities and best practices and meet learner needs
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
• Build relationships across a variety of different roles and levels in the organization
• Manage multiple projects at once with minimal supervision
• Use ADDIE principles to perform needs analysis, design, develop, and evaluate the impact of a variety of learning solutions with deference for speed of
development and scale of delivery
• Collaborate closely with SMEs and manage projects with multiple contributors
• Communicate clearly and frequently with management and stakeholders and demonstrate strong writing, project management, and organizational skills
• Adapt to rapidly changing project timelines and deliverables
• Be creative, innovative, and resourceful. Take initiative proactively.
• Speak to a technical audience, develop technical materials (working with SMEs), and assimilate technical information and ideas quickly – enough to be able to ask
the right questions!
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or Learning Sciences; or related field
• 5+ years designing and developing content and curricula in support of enterprise software learning and development programs
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively
• Expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning theories, and e- learning best practices
• Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, LMS)
• Familiarity with certification programs a plus
