With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. *_Department Description:_* ITS Solution Center is a Hartford HealthCare (HHC) department focused on the ITS relationships with its customers and the governance of work being passed to ITS. The team works with assigned customer groups and manages their prioritized requests to ensure that all the necessary pieces of information and resources are gatheed to ensure the delivery of a quality product to an approved project. This team also manages workflow and reporting to the end customer through the ITS PMO which is one arm of this department. *_Position Summary:_* The Project Manager II works alongside the Project Managers I, Senior Project Managers and Program Managers to perform project management duties that support the initiation, planning, execution and completion of projects. Participates in all phases of the project lifecycle and processes for small-to-medium (or limited number of large) sized projects of varying complexity. Project Manager II will schedule and conduct project meetings, manage project artifacts, communicate assignments and expectations to project team members and track completion to ensure quality and integrity of deliverables. *_Position Responsibilities:_* 1. _Project Management_ o Participates in PMO operations and manages small-to-medium (or limited number of large) sized projects of varying complexity. o Partners with Executive Sponsor(s) to build a relationship that best manages expectations and supports project execution and implementation o Schedules and conducts key project meetings for stakeholders, sponsors, teams, etc. o Creates meeting materials (including agendas, presentations, meeting minutes and other project-supporting materials as required for the project team members) and tracks completion to ensure quality and integrity of deliverables o Follows PMO methodology and utilize standardized templates and tools o Ensures all projects in “Planning” have a minimum of Charter, Scope, Governance Chart, Stakeholder Register, draft schedule/timeline and prioritized RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) ready for review as needed o Contributes to- and assists in- the design of efficient PMO procedures and policies. 2. _Data Integrity, Documentation and Reporting_ o Creates weekly/monthly reports for project team meetings in order to manage priorities, highlight risks/issues and share best practices. o Creates and maintains project work plans, issues lists, decision lists, risk/issue registers and status reports stored on project SharePoint site and linked to the system projects portfolio. o Provides managerial reports as needed/requested, ensuring quality and integrity of data before publishing and socializing them. o Manages project contracts and ensures that during its lifecycle the project adheres to contractual stipulations and/or makes recommendations where contract may need to be modified based on project changes. o Monitors and tracks ancillary project financial data and artifacts including invoices and purchase orders. o Responsible for maintaining own portfolio of projects on the PMOs’ SharePoint sites. o Responsible for integrating into project management activities the appropriate use of the standard PMO and company assets and tools including (but not limited to) BMC-Remedy. 3. _Process Improvement and Quality_ o Organizes and priorities large volumes of information, requests and calls; recommends ways to create efficient and productive departmental workflows and triage work requests. o Serves as the point of contact with the department’s customers and must provide excellent and consistent customer service. o Constantly seeks ways to improve departmental processes, products and policies. o Surveys Executive Sponsor(s) and key project stakeholders at the middle and end of each project to gauge customer satisfaction with project management services o Participates in Daily Management Huddles and all HHC/PMO courses offered through Leadership Development institute. o Adheres to project management industry best practices, including those espoused by the Project Management Institute (PMI) *_Education:_*Bachelor’s Degree or higher with a concentration in project management along with knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and related work experience *_Experience:_* * Minimum 3 years’ prior project management experience in a business, government and/or academic setting * A basic understanding of project management tools and techniques Experience * Working in health care industry preferred, demonstrated high-level organizational experience * Experience working in a PMO *_Licensure, Certification, Registration:_* * Achieved Project Management Professional (PMP) certification prior to employment * On track for Program Management Professional (PgMP) * Familiarity with Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM) Change Management Methodology *_Language Skills:_* Fluent in English, other languages a plus *_Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:_* * Presents as detail-oriented with strong communication skills. * Demonstrated strong presentation skills. * Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. * Presents a positive attitude. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities. * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced working environment. * Proven ability to work successfully in a matrix team environment that presents significant change and tight timeframes. * Demonstrated strong action orientation and a "can do" attitude; ability to make things happen. * Knowledge of basic project management principles and terms * Knowledge of basic change management principles and terms * Knowledge of basic information technology policies, procedures and best practices * Requires standard computer skills (e.g., generating spreadsheet or word processing macros;
