    Who You Are:

    The **Economic Development and Policy Analyst** plays a core and critical role within QTS’s public policy and economic development team. This in-house role will work closely with marketing operations, public policy, and cross-functional QTS teams to generate deal and policy specific content designed to successfully educate and advocate on behalf of QTS’s strategic interests. Central to this role is the accompanying research, analysis, and administrative duties that drive engagements to a successful close and facilitate long-term public-private partnerships. Duties will include the development of assets and presentation material, tracking and reporting activities, and assisting with internal and external partnerships. The Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and facilitating the community outreach playbook, market analysis materials, policy tracking documents, and key issue reporting.

    What You Will Do:

    + Conduct research and analysis on economic development and policy initiatives in support of QTS’s strategic growth and goals.

    + Generate assets and presentation materials, update trackers, and provide administrative support.

    + Develop and execute the community outreach playbook.

    + Conduct data-driven market analysis and policy tracking to support economic development initiatives.

    + Identify key issues and provide reporting on their impact on economic development and policy.

    + Support the budget, vendors, and onboarding processes.

    + Monitor progress of project milestones, change orders, and payment processes for compliance with project documentation; and communicate updates and other customer requirements.

    + Oversee project implementation, progress, and closeout; and effectively present information in a manner to support efficient decision making among internal teams, executive leadership, and customers.

    + Facilitate planning for and turnover to operations and security teams.

    + Provide support to Capital Markets team in regard to due diligence for loans.

    What You Will Need to be Successful:

    + Bachelor's degree in economics, policy, public administration, related field, or professional equivalency.

    + Two or more years of experience in project management, economic development, policy analysis, or a related field.

    + Demonstrates strong problem solving and analytical skills required to correctly frame and guide critical decisions to ensure delivery of successful projects.

    + Experience with hyperscale data center development projects preferred.

    + Political campaign/ strategic communications experience preferred.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities You Will Need:

    + Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Familiarity with budget management and vendor relationships.

    + Proven ability to conduct research and analysis on complex policy issues.

    + Knowledge of public relations and communication strategies.

    + Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    + Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

    + Ability to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
