Job Overview

Express Employment in Platteville has partnered with a local business in **_SHULLSBURG, WI_** to search for a candidate to support their business in a **_PRODUCTION_** _r_ ole. This is a full-time position.

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Able to take direction and willing to work according to the instructions that are given by line leads or supervisors. Must be flexible enough to embrace change and ask questions when needed.

• Must have strong upper body strength for some aspects of cheese production.

• Actively develop problem solving skills and initiative to consider and implement adjustments based on experience and sound judgement.

• Must be a team player and able to work well with others but also able to work independently and productively with a timely outcome. Be persistent and hardworking while maintaining a positive attitude and environment.

• Embrace and support the plant’s safety program and policies to insure a safe, hazard-free working environment for all employees.

• Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines and procedure in the areas of the overall packaging and production department, human resources, food safety and quality assurance.

• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to verbally communicate, understand and write in the English Language.

• Must be punctual and reliable.

• High school diploma is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Due to the product, the Cheese Factory environment on average is 70 degrees or higher.

• Smocks, aprons, gloves, hairnets, over the shoe boots and protective gear are provided.

• The dress code is casual, dress in layers. Strong durable athletic shoes or work boots preferred. No open shoes, shorts, crop pants or torn jeans of any kind permitted.

• No earrings, rings, bracelets, or face jewelry of any kind.

• Stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.

• Use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms on a repetitive basis.

• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push/pull exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

• Requires visual acuity to review written documentations; ability to hear and understand speech.

• There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.

SCHEDULE:

- 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM Tuesday - Saturday
