BECOME A AIRCARFT SECURITY!

Our Aircraft Security focuses on ensuring the security and safety of the aircraft and surrounding areas within the airport. The position requires vigilance in monitoring and guarding access points. It requires to strictly follow security protocols to prevent unauthorized entry. Effective communication and collaboration with airport staff are essential for maintaining seamless security operations.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A AIRCRAFT SECURITY

+ Abide by all airport and security rules and regulations in challenging suspicious individuals and those not wearing an unescorted SIDA identification badge

+ Monitor security equipment and promptly report any unusual or unauthorized activities

+ Utilize radio communication effectively with airport staff to ensure seamless coordination and response

+ Perform routine security and safety checks of exits, doors, and windows to maintain a secure environment

+ Establish and maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility

+ Exceed PrimeFlight customer service standards

+ May be assigned other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

+ 18 years of age or older

+ Eligible to work in the United States

+ Experience in security or a related field is preferred

+ Familiarity with security equipment and protocols

+ Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

+ Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices

+ Effectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means

+ Pass a background check and drug screen

+ Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

+ Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITION MAY INCLUDE:

+ Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

+ Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable

+ Must be able to push, pull

+ Must be able to crawl, at times in confined tight spaces

+ Must be able to bend, stretch, squat

+ Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels

+ Exposure to Biohazards and/or Chemicals

+ Exposure to outdoor elements

+ Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms

+ Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers

+ Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
