    Equipment Technician

     

    Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is hiring an Equipment Technician. The Equipment Technician is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and providing training on knitting, sewing, and ancillary equipment. Ensures all equipment operates safely and in compliance with regulations. Manages the proper transportation, storage, and distribution of equipment and materials to maintain safety and efficiency

    Schedule:

    Full Time (Monday - Friday) 37.5 per week

     

    Wage Rates: $16.00 -$16.50

    Equipment Technician Duties:

    As an Equipment Technician, you are responsible for ensuring that knitting, sewing, and ancillary equipment are properly set up for staff and supervisors. Your duties include making necessary equipment adjustments, troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the functionality of safety guards and upgrades. You will oversee the safe storage and transportation of equipment and materials as needed. Additionally, you will assist in training staff on proper equipment operation, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures. Completing all required training is essential to your role. Promptly report any machine safety concerns and notify your supervisor when equipment performance requires attention.

    Equipment Technician Required Experience:

    + The ability to read and write with basic math skills.

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.
