    In this role, the QA Technician enables conformance to Mars Quality and Food Safety specifications and compliance to all regulatory requirements through the verification and execution of quality control protocols and monitoring of sampling and testing plans applied to packaging and product. The QA Technician contractor is a member of the Chalfont, PA site Q&FS team and is an on site position.

    Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.50 / hour

    Duties:

    + 0-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or experience in a technical support area (2+ years preferred)

    + Associate degree preferred

    + Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to discover issues and to verify the accuracy of information, results, and data

    + General knowledge of ISO9000, Quality Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Systems (HACCP), and Regulatory Guidelines

    + Proven application of hold management and/or quality tools

    + Working knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, macros, etc.

    + Ability to work with others in R&D, Manufacturing and/or Distribution to improve product, processes, and systems

    + Ability to work independently as well as within a team

    + Ability to make timely, consistent, and well-balanced decisions.

    + Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills

    + Presentation skills for delivering training programs to a wide variety of audiences

    + Self-discipline with initiative to carry out improvements of job-related responsibilities

    + Flexibility to adapt to regularly changing priorities and quality issues

    + Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    + Nexus Admin-Document Control, Corrective & Preventative Actions, Concessions, PRIMPS, and Non-Cons

    + New User access and required training

    + Adding materials & vendors to Nexus

    + Associate training requirements

    + Shift Conformance

    + GMP Audits, Internal Audits, GBP Audits, and Perion/Quarterly Metric Reporting

    + Quality Panel

    + Reconciliation of Liquid/Powdered Medications

    + Reviewing & signing off on LB In-Process Packets

    + Updating CMOS & FMOS spreadsheets

    + Pest Control tending

    + Temperature Monitoring

    + Regulated Label Reconciliations

    + Yearly Packaging Specification review

    + Retention Sample Program Management

    + Traceability Program

    + Incoming RM Defect reporting to SQA/EMQA

     

    Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Must be at least 18 years old., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
