Novant Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide and document assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

ED Behavioral Health is a unit dedicated to providing comp assionat e care. With 18 beds and a typical nurse to patient ratio of 1:6, our unit prioritizes teamwork. You will have the opportunity to care for patients with diverse Behavioral Health specific needs within the facility such as behavior pattern symptoms/behaviors demonstrated by patients with an acute mental illness, substance use disorder , personality disorder, substance abuse or developmental disability. The Leadership Team consists of two Assistant Nurse Managers and a Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

+ Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.

+ Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred.

+ Licensure/Certification:

+ Completion of NA I and NA II programs, required.

+ NA registry as NA I in good standing. Current NA II certification with state, required.

+ NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units,required.

+ Additional Skills Required: BON Health Care Provider. Medication Safety - AME.

+ Additional Skills Preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
