    Program Overview

     

    The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.

    We are the Wi-Fi Development and Quality Assurance team under the Customer Promises Equipment Design and Development team - a part of Technology and Product Experience Division of Comcast. We are responsible for researching, automating, implementing and executing the latest features on a vast variety of Comcast products.

Our DevQA team plays a pivotal role in this mission, driving innovation by automating processes and developing novel user-centric features. As a student/co-op, you will contribute directly to this research, adding significant value and ensuring the delivery of top-quality products to our customers.

     

    The student will be involved in a very dynamic environment with various roles contributing to his/her development.

    Responsibilities:

    + Programming in Python within a Linux environment.

    + Testing WiFi devices to ensure they meet performance standards.

    + Configuring and troubleshooting networks.

    + Writing secure code following best practices.

    + Collaborating with team members to achieve project goals and debugging issues.

    + Learning new skills and technologies in a supportive environment.

    Qualifications:

    + Great communication skills

    + Willingness to learn and work in a team environment

    + Deep technical understanding and troubleshooting skills

    + Preferred Majors: Electrical Engineering – Telecommunications Specialization, Computer Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Networking Engineering, Computer Science.

    + Available to report in-person to the work location provided above.

    + 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred.

    Required Skill Set:

    + Proficiency in Python 3 or a similar programming language.

    + Experience with Linux operating systems.

    + Basic knowledge of WiFi technologies.

    + Basic networking knowledge.

    The student will be working with a Senior engineer who will be training him/her on:

    + Test and development methodologies

    + Advanced Tools to deliver focused results

    + Scripting and automation

    + Cyber Security best practices

    + Creating and managing Linux environments

    + Testing/debugging Comcast products

     

    The student will also be involved in meetings with other important groups during the product development such as software development engineers, hardware development engineers, architects, program and product managers, cybersecurity/privacy teams along with others.

    Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

    + Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.

    + Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 22, 2025, through March 27, 2026.

    + Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

    + Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting
