    Program Overview

The Comcast internship/co-op program will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop strong interpersonal and business skills, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 40 media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network.

     

    This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

     

    Organization & Team Overview

     

    Comcast's Corporate Digital Internal Communications team in Philadelphia, PA manages and executes the communications channel strategies that support the company’s overall distribution of internal employee messaging, initiatives, and employee experience. The Digital Internal team is comprised of 4 members and we own and manage enterprise communications channels used by our 150+ Employee Communicators across the company to reach their audience. In addition to channel operations and maintenance we focus on longer term strategic projects that aim to improve the current digital employee experience.

    Role Description

    You’ll support the team in executing on updated messaging delivery strategies and be a part of the continued innovation of the enterprise-wide next generation intranet that elevates the employee experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thinks strategically and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency and effectiveness. S/he must be willing to work on a variety of projects and changing priorities and show a passion for learning new applications.

     

    As a co-op on our digital internal communications team, you’ll gain exposure to the multiple departments of a leading Fortune 50 company. You will get to learn and use our full lineup of enterprise communications channels; you will see what it takes to bring new features and functionality to life; learn how to gather and report on campaign metrics; and learn about audience segmentation and much more. You’ll gain valuable experience working in a corporate environment and have opportunities to learn more about other functions across our company, including technology; human resources; product; Comcast Business to name a few.

     

    What are some interesting problems the student will work on?

     

    In your role, you will work on various tasks that enable our community of EC’s (Employee Communicators) do their job better. This translates into tasks that help us run our day to day operations. This can range anywhere from staging and publishing content on our intranet to doing a permissions audit of our applications to creating and managing distribution lists to helping gather campaign metrics for a leadership readout etc.

     

    Where can this student make an impact?

     

    The student will have an impact on the employee experience as a direct result of some of the tasks and projects they are involved in. The work we do has the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of employees in some way shape or form.

    Job Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Help organize materials in the digital space to create a great user experience

    + Execute on assigned operational tasks relating to ComcastNow (intranet) and other channels including Communicator, EmailOpen, Viva Engage to name a few.

    + Assist with image and video editing (using Vimeo) to custom create assets that will be used in various campaigns across the digital channels

    + Participate in the Agile development process, specifically with testing new features and functionality in the Development environment, documenting defects and at times documenting new user stories as necessary

    + Assist with mass-email operations as needed: uploading approved DL lists into our mass-email tool; staging e-mails within the tool; providing e-mail metrics as necessary.

    + Manage a selection of analytics dashboards in Adobe Analytics

    + Help with documentation (governance, training materials etc) for the various communications channels

    + Support other digital communications projects as assigned

    + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Preferred Skills

    + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint

    + Strong interpersonal skills

    + Must have excellent time management and verbal/written communication skills

    + Must have great attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Must have ability to interface with all levels of management

    + Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment

    + Adobe Photoshop and InDesign experience a plus

    + Knowledge of UX and User Experience Design a plus

    + Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, HTML and Java Script a plus

    + Preferred Majors: User Experience and Interaction Design, Digital and Visual Communication, Marketing, Business Administration, Organizational Management

    Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

    + Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.

    + Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 22, 2025, through March 27, 2026.

    + Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

    + Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

    Salary:
