    Come be a part of the development and production of the Hypersonic Weapon System Conventional Prompt Strike \(CPS\) weapon\. This new multi\-platform launched weapon system will include phases progressing through design, flight test, initial production and deployment of the weapon system\. Join the Lockheed Martin team and be a part of the company that has developed and flown more hypersonic vehicles than any other U\.S\. Company and has decades of hypersonic development and flight test experience from government contracts as well as internal\.

     

    In this role you will be the All\-Up\-Round \(AUR\) Guidance, Navigation, and Controls \(GNC\) Certified Principal Engineer \(CPE\)/Responsible System Engineer \(RSE\)\. In coordination with the Chief Engineering Office, Weapon System RSEs, and subsystem CPEs you will provide focused technical authority for the product and ensure technical integrity of the product through individual ownership, responsibility, and accountability at all levels of the hierarchy; thus, strengthening expectations of product performance, mission success, and operational excellence\.

    This will include:

    • Responsible for development, analysis, verification, and validation of AUR Navigation, Guidance, & Control \(NGC\) performance to top level requirements

    • Support Chief Engineering Certified Principal Engineer \(CPE\)/Responsible System Engineer \(RSE\) organization as RSE of major subsystem component\(s\), with several lower CPE elements reporting up through

    • Coordinate NGC integration with FSW and support verification and validation of FSW requirements

    • Provide technical oversight to team executing development, verification, and validation of Missile Body G&C algorithms and capabilities

    • Provide technical oversight to team responsible for development, maintenance, integration, verification and validation of modeling and simulation products which support design and performance verification & validation efforts\.

    • Provide technical oversight to national team in system level Working Groups and industry partners developing major subcomponents; Glide Body G&C, Navigation,

    • Support Weapon System & AUR hardware RSE/CPE peers, remaining aware of development, qualification, and variances which impact AUR NGC

    Basic Qualifications:

    Weapons system and/or missile system architecture and design experience\.

     

    Missile Guidance and Control design and analysis experience\.

     

    Weapon system Modeling & Simulation design and analysis experience\.

     

    Experience in software development, integration and test\.

     

    Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance\.

    Desired Skills:

    Possess an active Secret Clearance

     

    RSE/CPE Certification

     

    Experience with hypersonic and boost vehicle systems

     

    HSWS/CPS Familiarity

     

    Hardware in the loop/Test Like You Fly test experience for reviewing and troubleshooting verification environments

     

    Analysis & Programming Language experience: Fortran, C/C\+\+, Matlab/Simulink, Python

     

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess strong interpersonal skills

     

    Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members\.

     

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off

    **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $139,600 \- $246,100\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

    \(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\.

     

    This position is incentive plan eligible\.
