    Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a **Senior Manufacturing Engineer** to join our Production Operations team in **King of Prussia, PA** \!

     

    In this role you will support the Production Integrated Product Team \(IPT\) as an engineer assigned to a support process capability development and optimization for a specific product line as it goes through spiral development maturating into high rate production\. You will integrate factory process data of each spiral as it is produced to plan, develop and implement optimizations and efficiencies\.

    Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Investigate efficiency losses/issue corrective actions to establish a stable, repetitive, and high\-rate production line\.

    • Create manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for composite material production, chemical processing, electromechanical assemblies, equipment installation, processing, and material handling

    • Represent manufacturing in peer reviews of engineering drawings to enhance design for manufacturability

    • Write production plans, inspect and assess defective hardware, and optimize production flow to meet program deliverables

    • Communicate with shop floor personnel to implement process improvements and gain efficiencies

    • Create tool designs, analyze shop performance, and support Quality Assurance in root cause analysis and corrective actions for process\-related defects

    • Support development and production of weapon systems, ground support equipment, and satellite electronics boxes

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Production Support Experience

    • Design Review Experience

    • Active Secret Clearance

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience throughout engineering lifecycle \(system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment\)

    • Process engineering experience with one or more of the following: 5 axis machining, NDT and inspection, chemical processing, composite material development/bonding, machining practices, reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and specifications

    • Experience in determining efficiencies, optimizations utilizing factory product and/or process data

    • Experience working in cross\-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues

    • Experience in statistical process control\.

    • Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards\.

    • Demonstrated experience with production operations\.

    • Experience in SAP\.

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Clearance Level:** Secret

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off
