The Chemistry Department at Farmingdale State College is seeking P/T Professional Staff for its academic laboratory program.
Responsibilities for the position include:
+ Assembly and disassembly of laboratory setups
+ Monitoring of a laboratory class, in conjunction with a faculty member, to ensure adherence to procedures, laboratory safety, and waste disposal
+ Preparation of materials for laboratory sections
+ Maintaining general safety and cleanliness of laboratory rooms
This position will require learning the laboratory preparations and assisting in laboratory observation for the Department's one year general chemistry course as well as the one-semester general and organic chemistry courses.
Work schedule would consist of day and evening hours for a total of 15-20 hours per week.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ BS in Chemistry or a related field
+ Minimum of 2 years experience in a laboratory environment
Additional Information:
This is a Part-Time, Temporary UUP position.
+ SALARY: $23.33/ hour
