Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Food & Nutrition Services to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our healthcare dining services across two behavioral health facilities. This leadership role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality, culinary excellence, and team development within a mission-driven healthcare environment.

This position oversees operations at Rushford The Ridge and Natchaug Hospital, serving a combined total of 120 behavioral health beds. The account is 3M in managed volume, with 22 employees including two full-time leads, and no retail component.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead, mentor, and support a team of food and nutrition service associates to consistently deliver high-quality meals and excellent customer service.

+ Foster strong partnerships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and other departments to support patient-centered care.

+ Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management team to create nutritious, appealing, and compliant menus.

+ Manage all financial aspects of the account, including P&L, budgeting, cost controls, and forecasting.

+ Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold high standards for food safety, sanitation, and quality.

+ Roll out and sustain new culinary programs and service initiatives tailored to the behavioral health environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field (preferred).

+ 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in foodservice operations, ideally in healthcare or behavioral health settings.

+ Proven expertise in high-volume food production and back-of-house operations.

+ Strong financial management skills and experience with budgeting and P&L oversight.

+ Commitment to continuous improvement, team development, and patient-focused service.
