    Job Title: Systems Engineer

    Job Summary:

    IT Veterans is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to supporting network systems and systems engineering tasks in a collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their skills while working on national security projects. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

    What You'll Do:

    + Support the design, configuration, and installation of network systems and related infrastructure.

    + Assist in troubleshooting network and system issues, working with senior engineers to resolve challenges.

    + Collaborate with the team on technical solutions, providing assistance in both hardware and software configurations.

    + Help develop technical documentation and assist with the deployment and installation of network equipment and systems.

    + Participate in routine maintenance and upgrades of network systems.

    What You Bring to the Team:

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience.

    + 3-4 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar technical role.

    + An active TS/SCI clearance (required).

    + Familiarity with basic network protocols and concepts such as VPN, DNS, and DHCP.

    + Experience with operating systems like Windows, Linux, or similar environments.

    + A willingness to learn and develop technical skills in network systems and engineering.

    Key Technical Skills (Familiarity with at least 2 required):

    + Basic understanding of LAN switching and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).

    + Experience with network security tools (e.g., Cisco ASA, FirePower).

    + Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

    + Understanding of identity management (e.g., Active Directory).

    + Familiarity with operating system patching and upgrades.

    Certifications:

    + CCNA or equivalent networking certification is required
