POSITION DETAILS
The Office of Academic Affairs at Bronx Community College is seeking an experienced and highly organized Executive Associate to provide comprehensive executive support to the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost (VPAA/P). Reporting directly to the VPAA/P, the Executive Associate will work closely with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure the effective operation and coordination of the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA).
The Executive Associate plays a key role in helping the Provost lead and manage strategic initiatives across the College. This position requires discretion, excellent judgment, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
• Provide high-level administrative and managerial support to the Provost in all matters related to the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA).
• Manage and maintain the Provost’s schedule, general correspondence, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate daily operations of the OAA, working collaboratively with other professional staff to ensure office efficiency.
• Draft letters, memoranda, and other official documents on behalf of the Provost.
• Build and sustain effective working relationships with departments, faculty, staff, and senior leaders across the College and University.
• Support the implementation of academic and strategic initiatives in collaboration with other divisions.
• Track, analyze, and report on financial data; prepare budget forecasts and reconciliation reports.
• Oversee processing of invoices, reimbursements, and awards in accordance with University financial policies.
• Manage the content and timely updates of the OAA webpage.
• Assist with the development of executive presentations and materials.
• Monitor and manage budgets, including grant-related accounts, for OAA programs and initiatives.
• Provide logistical and operational support for programs, events, workshops, and conferences sponsored by the College and OAA.
• Serve as project manager on various OAA initiatives as assigned by the Provost.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to take initiative, use sound judgment to make decisions, exercise discretion and tact, and resolve problems diplomatically.
He She will have the knowledge, skills, competencies, and professional attributes:
-Advanced degree preferred
-Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience performing high-level
Analytical, research and administrative work supporting an executive in a higher education institution or complex organization
- Experience working with a culturally and linguistically diverse student body
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
- Customer service excellence and detail orientation
- Strong work ethic, high degree of professionalism, and personal integrity with an understanding of the need to, safeguard information, and handle
documents with sensitivity
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills with the ability to establish plans, manage a large workload and multiple assignments, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced office.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Supports a Campus or University Executive as a confidential assistant in a variety of activities and initiatives as a key team member.
- Organizes and manages projects involving different areas of the Campus or University community, with responsibility for project outcomes
- Represents the Executive's unit in Campus or University-wide activities, including committees, special initiatives, and implementation of new processes or technology
- Independently carries out a portfolio of responsibilities under the Executive's purview, such as approvals, student interactions, and monitoring of key activities
- Manages communications within and outside the unit related to areas of responsibility
- May serve as Manager of a large Executive Office
- Performs related duties as assigned.
This position is excluded from union representation.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range is **$67,784 - $117,805** ; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
