    Every day, our Licensed Practical Nurses deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the ICU.

    Positions details:

    + **Location:** Morton Plant Hospital – Medical/Surgical ICU – Clearwater, Florida

    + **Status:** Full Time

    + **Shift:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

    + Every other weekend requirement

    + **On Call:** Yes

    + Always in person

    Requirements:

    + LPN (License Practical Nurse) License in the State of Florida

    + High School or Equivalent GED

    + Technical Program Completion or Degree in Practical Nurse Program or those who have successfully completed the Practical Nurse Equivalency (PNEQ)

    + 6 months Acute Care as a Patient Care Technician, Practice Nurse Apprentice or Practical Nurse Intern or 6 months Acute Care as a Licensed Practical Nurse

    + BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

    The **Licensed Practical Nurse – ICU** responsibilities and skills:

    + Works in a hospital setting under the direction of a Registered Nurse

    + Delivers patient care as directed for assigned patients including medication administration, terapy and interventions

    + High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

    + Professional accountability and development
