    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader that will be responsible for creating and executing on a multi-year IT continuous improvement, cost management and cost reduction strategy. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer to identify ways to leverage modern technology to reduce spend and fundamentally change how we manage IT spend. This role requires a strong background in Finance and IT, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive efficiencies and report on the success of cost reduction initiatives. The role will require strong presentation skills and interfacing with senior leaders.

    General Responsibilities:

    Strategy

    + Develop and implement a multi-year IT cost management and reduction strategy

    + Lead ongoing performance improvement and IT spend optimization efforts across human capital, service delivery model, third party arrangements, licensing and demand management, and technology improvements including automation and the use of AI.

    + Analyze spend and identify opportunities for labor, non-labor, offshore, automation, process improvement, and identification of redundancies in technology spend in the IT ecosystem.

    + Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Financial Officer to identify cost-saving opportunities, leveraging modern technology.

    + Partner with functional leaders from IT operations, Technology, Architecture, Product/Software Development, Finance, HR, and other support functions to develop a comprehensive financial resiliency roadmap

    + Implement a structured approach to compile, manage, and prioritize a comprehensive pipeline of ideas and initiatives.

    + Build an organization that is equipped to dive into new and legacy areas for process improvement focused on cost optimization.

    Strategic Relationships

    + Build and maintain strong executive relationships with key stakeholders across technology, finance, and business units to align resiliency initiatives with enterprise goals.

    + Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans to manage expectations, build trust, and ensure ongoing support and commitment.

    + Communicate clearly and regularly with stakeholders at all levels, tailoring messages to resonate with different audiences (senior executives, operations teams, finance, etc.)

    + Act as a strategic advisor to the CFO and other C-level executives providing insights into stakeholder sentiment and opportunities.

    Execution

    + Lead cross-functional teams to identify, sequence, and execute initiatives that maximize business impact.

    + Track savings and calculate efficiencies to measure the success of cost reduction efforts.

    + Oversee the sequencing and execution of projects to maximize organizational efficiency and business impact.

    + Lead initiatives to optimize end-to-end processes, driving measurable efficiency gains and cost reductions.

    Knowledge and Skills

    + Proven experience in technology leadership roles, preferably within the healthcare sector or Fortune 100 companies.

    + Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a deep understanding of information technology strategy and operations.

    + Strategic thinking and the ability to align financial stewardship with technology initiatives.

    + Strong background in Finance and IT (including emerging technology trends) and third party spend management

    + Proven analytic capabilities and experience in reporting on cost reductions and efficiencies.

    + IT financial management experience for large, complex IT organizations, with a detailed understanding of cost accounting standards and cost structures (direct/indirect).

    + Ability to build and nurture strategic relationships.

    + Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizational structures and align competing priorities.

    Management Experience

    + 15+ years of experience in progressively increasing technology leadership roles

    + 7+ years of experience in the Healthcare industry or Fortune 100 company

    + Prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (Deloitte, McKinsey, BCG, Accenture, PWC, etc.) or in a corporate transformation office.

    Education, Experience and Certifications:

    + Bachelor's degree Information Systems, Finance, or Accounting – Required

    + Master’s Degree – Preferred

    + Certified Public Accountant – Preferred

    + Technical Certifications in relevant technologies – Preferred

    + Six Sigma Certified – Master Black Belt – Preferred
