    The purchasing department is responsible for addressing the purchase needs of all CAMBA’s programs by adhering to funder and agency purchase regulations.

     

    Position: Temp Purchasing Clerk

     

    Reports To: Senior Program Director

    What The Temp Purchasing Clerk Does:

    + Follow CAMBA’s Procurement Policy

    + Research and expand the agency’s M/WBE vendor list selecting from the NY City and NY State databases

    + Research and expand the agency’s Purchasing group vendors selecting from their catalogs.

    + Research on new vendors

    + Set up new vendor accounts

    + Assist in M/WBE contractual compliance

    + Communicate with vendors to request required documents and review submitted documents for completion and compliance with procurement rules and regulations.

    + Obtain signed letters of intent and other required documentation.

    + Maintain the vendor M/WBE Certificates and Verify M/WBE Status.

    + Assist with keeping records on contract requirements regarding purchasing, vendors and purchasing groups.

    + Generate reports as needed

    + Maintain up-to-date file system. Entering data into Purchasing log and other purchasing related databases

    + Update CAMBA’s MWBE Vendor List/Preferred Vendor List

    + Communicate and share vendor information with CAMBA Staff

    + Attend events and vendor conferences.

    + Assist with purchasing/procurement support (i.e.-reconcile purchase orders and invoices).

    + Maintain professional relationships with vendors.

    + Comply with all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable information.

    + Maintain accurate files of paperwork of all orders (i.e. - copies of Purchase Order forms, Purchase Request forms.

    + Track packages, follow up on back orders.

    + Follow up on programs purchase request forms.

    + Answer and screen incoming telephone calls as needed.

    + Tasks may be modified, expanded, and/or assigned over a period of time.

    Minimum Education/Experience Required:

    + Sufficient Education: to comprehend basic reading, writing, and math to execute required functions of the role.

    Other Requirements:

    + One (1) years of relevant experience, preferably in a mid-sized (250+ employees) organization.

    + Good written & verbal communication.

    + Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Ability to lift boxes.

    Compensation: $20-$22 hourly

    When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.

     

    Status: Full-time (35 hours per week) (Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM)
