    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Position Summary

    The Procurement Manager will negotiate and manage IT strategic partnerships with vendors, primarily focused on cloud and innovative technology. This role will help oversee the entirety of the partner relationship through the procurement lifecycle. The position will collaborate with various cross functional stakeholders to evaluate and implement strategic initiatives and tactics throughout clinical and technical departments, and on-going management of said strategic partnerships. Specific responsibilities include vendor/product and market evaluation, bid/RFx preparation, research and analysis, strategy development, vendor negotiations (commercial and contractual), optimization, value increase and cost reduction, contract development and contract management. Communicating effectively and working collaboratively across mediums with diverse audiences, with emphasis on senior level audiences.

     

    • Lead team of business owners, financial, clinical, legal representatives and cross- functional individuals through the evaluation, formation, incubation, operationalization, and renewal/transition phases of the Strategic Partnership lifecycle.

    • Maintain knowledge of related IT technologies, products and services and the corresponding market and internal trends.

    • Practice and adhere to highest ethical standards in performance of duties.

    • Serve as escalation point for strategic partnership issues and clarification.

    • Manage, optimize and communicate partnership status and results with leadership, internal departments and customers.

    • Develop and/or enhance processes related to strategic partnership and contract optimization, management, and execution. Continuously seeking process improvement, optimization, and efficiency.

    • Support the development of executive-level presentations.

    • Exercise effective listening and business judgment skills with a demonstrated ability to separate ancillary information from the primary content being communicated, asking appropriate questions to clarify and confirm understanding.

    • Ability to process and understand all information and facts necessary for effective decision-making.

    • Demonstrate ability to maintain grace under pressure in difficult situations while displaying a high level of professional courtesy.

    • Apply strong project management skills for planning and execution of priorities.

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree Business or related Technology Field required

    • 3+ years of experience in related field required

    Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

    • Certification by AHRMM, IACCM ISM, and/or NCMA preferred

    • Cloud FinOps Certification Preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors Required:

    • Knowledge of contracting principles, vendor management, and product/service sourcing.

    • Experience in negotiations with an understanding of contract implications in delivering world class healthcare IT products and services.

    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with experts from many healthcare specialties effectively as a team member, coordinator, and facilitator. Ability to create or interpret financial models to identify trends and patterns in vendor bids, financial data, operational reports and recommend proper course of action.
