    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Position Summary

    The Endoscopy technician assists the physician and/or the Registered Nurse in endoscopic procedures. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the care and maintenance of endoscopic equipment.

    Specific Elements and Essential Functions:

    The Endoscopic Technician demonstrates competency in aseptic technique and infection control. Demonstrates good organizational, time management skills, interpersonal and customer service skills. The Endoscopy Technician must demonstrate knowledge of all endoscopic procedures including handling, cleaning, and troubleshooting all necessary equipment. The ET maintains inventory in the endoscopy unit.

    Experience and Education:

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + LNA License or Endo Tech Experience
