Description
We are seeking a customer-obsessed Senior User Experience Designer to drive complex design initiatives for DevOps agents and experiences within our AWS Agentic AI organization.
As a Senior Designer, you will independently own significant product areas, leading the end-to-end design process while mentoring other designers. You will use your deep understanding of UX best practices and technical constraints to create innovative solutions that scale.
You'll be working within our Agentic AI organization, which is focused on developing autonomous AI systems that can handle complex workflows, make decisions, and solve problems with human-like reasoning capabilities. We're going beyond traditional chatbots to create solutions that drive efficiency gains. Operating as part of AWS, we build upon Amazon's core infrastructure to advance agent-based AI technologies that are already showing impressive results, such as saving thousands of developer years in code transformation through products like Amazon Q Developer.

Key job responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end design process for major features or product areas
- Lead user research activities and synthesize insights to inform product strategy
- Create and validate design solutions through customer research, data analysis, and iterative testing
- Develop detailed interaction models, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Partner effectively with product management and engineering to ensure successful delivery
- Influence product strategy through strong design rationale and customer advocacy
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to raising the design bar across teams
- Define and document design patterns that can scale across multiple products
- Balance customer needs with technical constraints while maintaining a high bar for quality
- Present work to senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively

Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
- Experience with end-to-end product development and shipping features
- Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- * Experience designing for enterprise software or developer tools
- Experience with AI/ML products or complex technical domains
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
