Description
Amazon Photos is looking for a Senior Manager of Technical Program Management (TPM) to lead our TPM organization across key initiatives including AI/ML, computer vision, photos on devices, privacy and trust, security, and subscriptions.
Amazon Photos, is revolutionizing how customers interact with and manage their photo collections through natural language interactions and AI driven organization and memory curation. The service comes with unlimited photo storage for Prime members and apps are available on iOS, Android, Web, Desktop, Fire Tablet & Fire TV. The service is also integrated into Alexa devices such as Echo Show and Fire TV the team is actively building the integration of Photos features with Alexa+ endpoints. We have ambitious goals to scale growth and adoption of the service around the world and delight our customers with a great product.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 10 Technical Program Managers across AI/ML, computer vision, photos on devices, privacy and trust, security, and subscriptions.
- Partner with engineering teams, leadership, product management, and UX to ensure we're building the best customer experience using innovative technologies.
- Establish and improve processes for managing complex, cross-functional programs and coordinating release schedules.
- Drive innovation and long-term technical investments to support rapid business growth
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the technical strategy and roadmap for Amazon Photos.
About the team
The Amazon Photos team is a collaborative group of mission driven builders obsessed with building the most customer-centric Photos solution for preserving, organizing ,reliving and sharing memories.
Basic Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience in technical program/product management or software engineering
• 7+ years of experience managing technical teams, including managers
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Strong technical background with ability to understand complex architectures and technologies
• Experience leading large-scale consumer-facing products/services
• Track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AI/ML, computer vision, privacy/security technologies
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and distributed systems
• Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies
• Strong product sense and customer focus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $175,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $302,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
