Applicants must be able to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate psychology courses, which may include research methodology, learning (animal & human), quantitative statistics, sensation/perception, or philosophy/history of science. We are seeking an experimental psychologist whose teaching and research interests complement a relatively small (7), but very active, psychology faculty. A dedicated psychology lab and an array of lab equipment are available to support research and student training. The teaching load is 3/3; additional responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate & graduate student research, supervising master’s theses, and student advising. Applicants who are ABD will be considered for the position; however, the successful candidate is expected to have a PhD from a recognized program by the time of appointment. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

    Work Performed:

For Fall and Spring semesters, the teaching load is 3/3; additional responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate & graduate research, supervising master’s theses, and student advising. Typically, teaching in a summer session is also available, which enhances annual salary.

    Necessary Qualifications:

PhD from a recognized psychology program that would qualify the candidate to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in quantitative methods including research methodology and statistics, as well as other core courses such as learning (animal & human), sensation/perception, or philosophy/history of science. Applicants who are ABD will be considered for the position; however, the successful candidate is expected to have a PhD by the time of appointment.
