    SUMMARY

    Directline.us is a high growth IT services company, backed by private equity, with primary focuses on system design and integration for well-known data center customers in the US with a strong expansion plan in Asia Pacific and Europe.

     

    In this newly created role, we are looking for a highly energetic, detail oriented, analytical, passionate, self-starter,

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

     

    • Decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment

    • Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement

    • Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders

    • Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness

    • Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes and industry best practices

    • Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles

    • Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work

    • Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies

    • 4 + years In-depth knowledge of Cat 5, Cat 6

    • 3 +years of in-depth knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, such as VFL, power meter, Fluke Versive 5000 and OTDR

    • 3+ years’ experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies

    • 3+ years’ experience troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords

    Lead Technician

    + Strong background performing large scale data center projects.

    + Strong background in leading teams in commercial style projects.

    + Oversee assigned projects and performance of technicians assigned

    + Lead installs to completion

    + Validates material required to complete the build project

    + Coordinate and plan with teams, request material for installs supported by logistics

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency

    • Must have experience working in data centers, telco, IT operations, or related technical field

    • Any server, OS, Network, or data center certification (including in-progress) are a plus

    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • Must be a professional, accurate, urgent and provide quality

    • Ability to work alone or in teams with minimal instruction

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Primarily walking, standing, and bending with some sitting

    • Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, visual and listening skills

    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required equipment as well as to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments

    • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds

    • Ability to climb ladders and work on raised platform
