    Join Our Team at the Division of Youth Safety & Permanency! We are currently hiring for twoTechnical Records Specialist 1positions at ourCaldwellfield office. Do you have personal or professional experience within or in support of programs serving youth and families and/or the child welfare team?

     

    Position 1: Front Desk & Administrative Support

     

    This role serves as the primary point of contact at the front desk—welcoming clients, answering calls, and providing general support. In addition to front desk duties, you’ll manage a full administrative workload as a key member of our team.

     

    Position 2: Public Records & Office Support

     

    This position is responsible for managing public records requests, including reviewing and redacting sensitive information. It also includes general administrative tasks to help support our fast-paced office. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting youth and family services, we’d love to hear from you!

     

    This position is not eligible for telework.

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

    + Answer multi-line phone system, greet clients, and front desk responsibilities.

    + Manage assigned motor pool cars, report issues, and update mileage sheets.

    + Electronically file court reports and track court report timeliness for the case workers.

    + Interpret, explain requirements, processes, and procedures to others, internal and external.

    + Manage case file records and scanning, obtain needed court orders or documents from district clerks.

    + Access, maintain, and update computerized records systems and develop reports.

    + Process various applications and documents for staff and foster youth.

    + Obtain and upload medical reports and records to the electronic case file.

    + General office tasks: order supplies, maintain office copiers; correspondence; faxes.

    + Assemble informational packets for foster care licensing, safety assessors, and general office use.

    + Compile, review, and redact public records requests.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position.     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors. Typically gained by one year of full-time work experience.

    + Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems. Typically gained by one year of full-time work experience.

    + Experience interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments. These complex decisions could have affected the social or economic well-being of others or would result in a service or action being denied. Typically gained by one year of work experience.

    + Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. Typically gained by six months of work experience.

     

    Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.

     

    + Bilingual.

    + Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
