Elite Contracting Group is one of Virginia’s fastest-growing full-service security and resiliency solution integration companies.  We are seeking a Field Installation Foreman with fence installation experience to join our Central Region Office in Petersburg, Virginia.  As a Field Installation Foreman, you will be responsible for leading the installation of various types of construction projects including the installation of commercial fences.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards with a focus on quality customer service

+ Lead and direct a team of installers, assigning tasks, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and quality workmanship

+ Read and interpret blueprints and coordinate project logistics

+ Ensure proper installation techniques are used for various fence types including wood, vinyl, chain link, and ornamental fencing

+ Inspect completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications

+ Track progress and provide updates to management

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of related experience

+ Proven ability to lead and motivate a crew

+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, and post hole diggers

+ Ability to read blueprints

+ Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and alignment of fence components

+ Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installation

+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues

+ Commitment to safety protocols and practices to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment

Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time

+ Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas

+ Must be able to lift, push, and carry 50 – 70 pounds

+ Must be able to work in various conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat and cold

Additional Requirements:

+ Must be able to work Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:00PM; additional work, including on-call, may be required

+ Must maintain a satisfactory background record

+ Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

+ Must be able to travel out of town as needed
