    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr Staff Engineer to serve as the Cyber Survivability / System Security Engineering Chief Architect within the Systems Engineering team. The position will be **located in Melbourne, Florida.**

     

    The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance and technical oversight with respect to Anti-Tamper (AT), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and System Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA). This customer-facing position requires a thorough understanding of USG regulations associated with Cyber Survivability and System Security Engineering.

     

    The successful candidate will regularly coordinate across multiple IPTs and disciplines to ensure program success over the full length of its execution, to include verification and certification. You will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. You will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. You will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. The ability to effectively communicate with engineers and management from multiple disciplines is essential.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 14 years of relevant experience; OR Master of science Degree in STEM with 12 years of relevant experience

    • Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Top Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

    • Experience in systems engineering with MBSE, software design, or demonstrated ability to work with software-aided design tools in the development of system architecture.

    • Experience leading engineering teams

    • Experience in system design, integration, or test of aircraft systems with an emphasis in Cyber Survivability and System Security.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architecture and the Systems Modeling Language (SysML)

    • Experience with Agile workflows

    • Knowledge of configuration management of model-based architecture baselines

    • Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.

    • Proven ability to brief technical presentations to both internal and external stakeholders

    Salary Range: $178,600.00 - $268,000.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
