Position Summary
The Senior Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing enterprise applications and systems that serve the academic, administrative, and operational needs of the institution. This position is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and ensuring the efficient operation of mission-critical applications. The Senior Systems Analyst will work collaboratively with stakeholders across departments to deliver technology solutions that align with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities
+ Analyze, design, develop, and implement solutions for enterprise systems such as student information systems ( SIS ), learning management systems ( LMS ), ERP platforms, and data warehouses.
+ Act as a liaison between functional users and technical teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
+ Provide system support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing applications and integrations.
+ Lead or participate in projects related to system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.
+ Perform data analysis, reporting, and data integrity checks to support institutional decision-making.
+ Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and technical manuals.
+ Monitor and optimize system performance and security in collaboration with IT infrastructure teams.
+ Provide mentoring and guidance to junior analysts and serve as a subject matter expert in designated systems.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
+ Minimum of four (4) years of experience in systems analysis, application support, or IT project management in a higher education environment.
+ Strong knowledge of enterprise systems used in higher education (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, Workday, Ellucian, Blackboard, Canvas).
+ Proficiency in SQL , report writing tools, and scripting languages.
+ Experience with system integration, APIs, and data exchange protocols.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
+ Experience with cloud-based systems and SaaS platforms.
+ Familiarity with data governance, business intelligence tools, and ITIL frameworks.
+ Project management certification (e.g., PMP , Agile) is a plus.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
