What you’ll achieve

As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

+ Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments

+ Prepare, review and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems

+ Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems

Essential Requirements

+ Good knowledge of **Python** , pytest, containerization, linux operating systems; relational databases

+ Software Engineering DevOps best practices with code release, branching, git, Agile, jenkins, artifactory, test driven development

+ Software development with a focus on **automation, failure testing** , ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications

+ Experience with large cluster deployment, cluster management (k8s/Kubernetes, Bright cluster manager, Omnia, Slurm etc)

+ Experience with **ML/AI/HPC (Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence/High Performance Computing)** concepts and the applications that drive these technologies. Experience with large scale InfiniBand or ethernet and RDMA/RoCE.

Desirable Requirements

+ 6 to 8 years of related experience

+ Bachelor’s degree

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $170k - $220k.
