    Job Description Summary

    The Power Conversion branch of GE Vernova is looking for new and experienced talents which will become tomorrow the expert and reference in Power Electronics.

     

    As the Program Engineering Manager – Service After Sale for Navy Propulsion Systems at GE Power Conversion, you will lead the technical support, lifecycle management, and performance improvement initiatives for GE propulsion equipment installed on U.S. Navy vessels. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers post-commissioning, ensuring optimal operation, maintenance, and upgrade of electric propulsion systems throughout their lifecycle.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage engineering support for in-service Navy propulsion systems, including troubleshooting, upgrades, obsolescence management, and root cause investigations.

    + Lead cross-functional teams to deliver field services, technical resolutions, retrofit solutions, and digital support packages.

    + Serve as the technical liaison between Navy stakeholders, GE field service teams, and internal engineering groups to address operational challenges and enhancements.

    + Coordinate and manage engineering scope for long-term service agreements (LTSAs), depot support, and fleet modernization programs.

    + Ensure timely resolution of field issues, incorporating feedback into product design improvements and service strategies.

    + Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including change requests, maintenance procedures, and service bulletins.

    + Support logistics and supply chain teams in managing spare parts strategies, reliability data, and inventory planning.

    + Oversee service engineering budget, resource allocation, and quality/performance metrics.

    + Ensure compliance with military standards and quality requirements throughout the service lifecycle.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.

    + Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering or field support for power systems, preferably in marine/naval applications.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Solid understanding of Navy propulsion systems including motors, drives, control systems, and auxiliaries.

    + Proven experience managing technical programs or field engineering teams in a customer-facing role.

    + Familiarity with military requirements (e.g., NAVSEA, MIL-STD) and defense logistics support.

    + Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    + U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

    + Experience supporting GE Power Conversion naval systems.

    + Prior work with Navy field service operations or in-service engineering agents (ISEAs).

    + Knowledge of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM+) and digital monitoring systems.

    + PMP certification or equivalent project management training.

    + Active Security Clearance
