    Position Description:

    CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production and Industrial Operations Engineer to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client in Huntsville, AL. The selected individual will provide engineering support to meet client requirements for an Army hypersonic rocket and missile program onsite at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

     

    This position is located in Huntsville, Al.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    Primary duty is to serve as a Production and Industrial Operations Engineer for the Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO-MS) Dark Eagle Project Office, which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the Army’s Long Range Hypersonic Weapon capability. The Production Engineer is responsible for providing subject matter expertise related to system and subsystem production processes and procedures, manufacturing readiness assessments, proposal evaluations, and pilot line validations.

    Duties include:

    • Provide production subject matter expertise

    • Lead and/or support production line validation (PLV)

    • Review and define system requirements

    • Support technical evaluations on contractor proposals

    • Interface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate the product DD250 process

    • Support efforts related to diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMS/MS) and supply chain risk management

    • Develop and present briefings and reports to government customer

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree

    • 8 years of experience supporting engineering for production and production planning

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition

     

    program office or OEM.

     

    • Demonstrated knowledge and application of manufacturing processes and procedures as

    it pertains to weapon systems

    • Manufacturing readiness assessments or related activities

    • Demonstrated experience with obsolescence mitigation methods

    • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

    • Proficiency in MS Office

    • Active Secret Clearance

    • Ability to multitask in a high paced environment

    Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

    • Active TS/SCI

    • Technical oversight of major weapon systems development

    • Relevant experience with RCCTO, Army project office, and/or PEO MS.

    • Experience preparing briefings and documentation for senior leadership

    • Familiar with conducting reviews of entrance and exit criteria

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $219,600.00.
