Accounting Manager
A client of ours is looking for an Accounting Manager for a contract role to oversee day-to-day financial operations and provide tactical support in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This individual will be responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing work papers, making journal entries, and handling treasury and cash management across four related S-Corp entities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, responsive, and capable of communicating effectively with remote executive leadership via phone and email.
Responsibilities of Accounting Manager
+ Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for multiple entities
+ Prepare journal entries and monthly work papers
+ Manage cash and treasury functions across 4–5 accounts
+ Coordinate intercompany transactions and allocations
+ Assist with controller-level functions including month-end close and reporting
+ Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
+ Ensure accurate import of financial data from the operational system into QuickBooks
+ Communicate proactively with executive leadership
+ Collaborate with on-site Head of Operations, who has a strong financial acumen
+ Assist in evaluating financial structures and intercompany charges, including management fees
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Accounting Manager
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
+ 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a multi-entity or S-Corp environment
+ Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
+ Strong understanding of intercompany activity and cost allocations
+ Solid organizational and time-management skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Familiarity with M& A activity is a plus, but not required
