As an Attorney/ Lawyer your responsibilities will include but aren't limited too:

• Conduct intake and evaluations for immigration assistance requests with respect, professionalism, and courtesy.

• Provide timely legal consultations and direct representation in immigration cases, including appearing before relevant authorities.

• Maintain accurate and organized client records in compliance with organizational policies and grant requirements.

• Develop and execute service plans using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.

• Prepare detailed reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis as required by organizational policies.

• Stay updated on immigration policies, procedures, and regulations through regular review of official updates and bulletins.

• Offer referrals to internal or external resources for additional support, such as employment opportunities or social services.

• Represent the organization on community committees or task forces as assigned.

• Deliver presentations or speak at public events within the diocese, as needed.

Requirements

The ideal Attorney/Lawyer will have the following:

• Licensed attorney with expertise in immigration law and related legal procedures.

• Proficiency in using legal and case management software, including tools like Adobe Acrobat and document management systems.

• Strong knowledge of employment-based immigration processes and civil litigation practices.

• Experience with claim administration, complaint handling, and briefing legal cases.

• Familiarity with community social needs and applicable government regulations.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently while aligning with organizational goals and policies.
