Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Visalia, California. This role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating closely with various departments to maintain accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, auditing, and managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation of weekly, monthly, and netting financial reports to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Monitor and control project margins in collaboration with the Controller and other relevant team members.
• Perform account reconciliations and manage inventory processes in partnership with the Costing team.
• Plan and execute the provision of financial accounts within established deadlines.
• Conduct thorough reviews of internal procedures and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Lead the investigation and potential implementation of new accounting software systems.
• Collaborate with the Mexican subsidiary, including language learning to enhance communication and support.
• Ensure all financial documentation and procedures are properly maintained and aligned with company standards.
• Communicate effectively with shareholders and other stakeholders to provide clear financial updates.
• Support the transition of responsibilities as the Controller approaches retirement.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and auditing practices.
• Proficiency in conducting account reconciliations and managing inventory systems.
• Familiarity with accounting software and the ability to evaluate new systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to liaise with international teams.
• Fluency in or willingness to learn Spanish is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
