Description

Robert Half is sourcing for a skilled Staff Accountant to join a highly reputable, local organization on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

• Generate financial reports for month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Conduct detailed account reconciliations and promptly resolve any discrepancies.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support organizational planning.

• Collaborate with various departments to streamline reporting and enhance operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP standards, and industry regulations.

• Analyze financial data to provide insights and summaries for management decision-making.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience as a Staff level Accountant

• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with MS Business Central is a plus.

• Strong expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries.

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex data sets.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and communication skills.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting standards.
