Description We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead and optimize our accounting operations in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in both public and corporate accounting, along with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and team development. This role is critical in ensuring the financial integrity of our organization while driving continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including the review of complex journal entries and accruals.

• Manage key general ledger functions such as intercompany reporting, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and payroll processes.

• Lead the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliation and variance analyses.

• Analyze financial results versus forecasts, budgets, and prior periods, providing detailed variance explanations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and corporate teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and compliance.

• Maintain adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

• Coordinate and prepare documentation for both internal and external audits.

• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and provide insights for financial planning.

• Mentor and develop team members through coaching, task delegation, and fostering opportunities for growth.

• Take ownership of special projects and ad hoc financial analyses to support organizational objectives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA certification is required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, with additional corporate accounting experience preferred.

• At least 2 years of management experience in an accounting role.

• Proficiency in major accounting systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with advanced functions to analyze large datasets.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
