Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our team in Milford, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing cash activities, and supporting our organization’s compliance with financial regulations. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a committed team while contributing to the success of our initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and budget-to-actual analyses.

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cash management activities, ensuring timely reconciliations to bank accounts.

• Review accounts payable invoices to confirm proper coding and obtain necessary approvals.

• Manage bi-weekly payroll processes, monitor hours, and conduct detailed analyses.

• Generate and review monthly accounts receivable reports for submission to banks.

• Coordinate contract and lease renewals, amendments, and funding source schedules.

• Compile audit materials for annual, pension, and tax purposes, ensuring compliance with external requirements.

• Prepare annual reports, Certificates of Good Standing, government surveys, and other mandated documentation.

• Contribute to the development of annual operating and capital budgets.

• Manage the renewal process for insurance policies for client organizations.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting or Finance, or an Associate’s degree with five years of relevant experience.

• At least two years of experience in accounting or finance, demonstrating attention to detail.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Word.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
