Job Overview:
RWJBH is seeking an Office Coordinator in the Discharge Hospitality Suite at the New Brunswick campus.
This is a part-time, day position, 36 hours/week. Ensures accurate maintenance of office records and documents, keeping abreast of new policies and procedures. Coordinates all office functions, including but not limited to staffing, training, personnel, supplies and equipment maintenance. Resolves office problems independently and facilitates solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Advanced computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office
+ Typing and accuracy of 40 50 words per minute
+ Excellent time management skills
+ Ability to handle confidential information
+ Must be detail-oriented
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Working Shift: Monday Friday
+ Day Shift: 8:00AM-8:30PM
+ Part-Time, 36 Hours Per Week
Essential Functions:
+ Managing the flow between the DTS and DTRS
+ Initiating contact with primary nurses when discharge orders are entered
+ Ordering equipment, supplies, and education literature
+ Scheduling interviews for ancillary positions
+ Contacting drug reps for discount program info and coupons
+ Scheduling provider and diagnostic appointments
+ Coordinating with pharmacies for patient medication confirmation and affordability
+ Maintaining the DTS data log
+ Carries out the principles of positive guest relations by maintaining good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with all staff/administration
+ Politely and promptly assist with all telephone and walk-in inquires.
+ Is aware of Nursing and Patient Services Division procedures for emergency situations.
+ Performs all duties in a friendly and courteous manner offering assistance to physicians, patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
+ Extends courtesy and consideration to others in all interpersonal relationships, including telephone contacts.
+ Demonstrates the ability to responds to instruction from peers or leadership in order to complete departmental tasks.
+ Performs other departmental duties as prescribed by supervisory personnel. Assists in the performances of non-technical tasks within the department.
