    POSITION TITLE: Production Trainer Evenings (Monday to Friday 2pm to 11pm)

     

    HOURLY PAY RANGE: $25.00/hr - $27.00/hr. plus an additional $2.00 per hour Evening shift differential

     

    SHIFT HOURS: Evenings ( Monday to Friday 2pm to 11 pm)

     

    JOB SUMMARY: Production Trainers ensure production area personnel are trained to perform effectively by providing training and coaching to the production teams. They ensure safety and quality standards are understood upon completion of training. Production Trainers promote a positive learning environment, trainee engagement, integration with the teams they serve, effective record keeping, and are focused on meeting the goals and objectives of the organization.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Production Trainer

     

    + Deliver effective training to both new and existing production team members.

    + Provide training when Work Instructions and Procedures are updated.

    + Utilize Training Within Industry (TWI) methods when delivering training.

    + Respond to requests from Production Management or Supervisors to support training needs, based on upcoming scheduled work and as it relates to Deviations.

    + Provide feedback to Supervisors on performance of trainees.

    + Ensure all production team members are fully trained and competent to perform assigned activities.

    + Conduct training audits to identify training gaps and correct deficiencies.

    + Provide clarification and enforce all safety and quality procedures while delivering training.

    + Maintain training records accurately and neatly.

    + Participate in the early stages of projects to develop training based on input from Subject Matter Experts

    + Work closely with Technical Writers to provide input and feedback on Work Instructions being developed or updated.

    + Maintain training matrix for production personnel.

     

    Production Trainer Team Leader

     

    + All essential Functions listed above.

    + Mentor other Production Trainers and be the team point of contact for training support.

    + Work closely with Supervisors and Manufacturing Cell Leaders to assist in providing information on training profiles and other training related items.

    + Manage, organize, and maintain production profiles: ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.

    + Manage training due dates and assign new and refresher training tasks to users, as necessary.

    + Support internal and external audits

    + Conduct “Train the Trainer” training sessions for personnel requiring TWI training.

    + Assist in reviewing work instructions developed by the engineering team for the Cleanroom.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + All other duties as assigned.

    + Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, per the LSI SOLUTIONS® Employee Manual.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Production Trainer

     

    + High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    + 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.

    + Experience conducting on-the-job training (individual or large groups) preferred.

     

    Production Trainer Team Lead

     

    + High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    + 5 to 10 years of experience in a lead role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.

    + Experience conducting on-the-job training (individual or large groups).

    + TWI Certified Trainer

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate instructions to individuals and groups.

    + Motivational and mentoring skills.

    + Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to adapt training methods in response to the needs of trainee.

    + Ability to communicate with trainees (and others) that results in positive outcomes.

    + Ability to work independently as well as alongside team members.

    + Maintain good and cooperative relationships with colleagues: promote strong teamwork.

    + Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office applications.

    + Some technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills necessary.

    + Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight hours per day.

    + Regularly required to talk and/or hear, see, use color and depth perception, and perform repetitive motion.
