    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to lead and execute supply chain activities in support of a critical industrial transfer project. This individual will play a key role in ensuring material availability by building up buffer inventory to enable the seamless physical transfer of production to a new site. The primary focus will be securing component materials to meet top-level buffer requirements and transfer deadlines.

     

    The ideal candidate will serve as the focal point for all supply chain activities, coordinating procurement efforts, managing supplier engagement, mitigating risks, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials. Additionally, this individual will oversee purchase order (PO) and contract novation activities and collaborate cross-functionally with program managers, operations, engineering, and quality teams to resolve material-related challenges.

    Essential Job Functions & Key Responsibilities:

    Supply Chain Planning & Execution:

    • Develop and implement a supply chain strategy to support the industrial transfer project.

    • Build up buffer inventory to ensure continuity of production during the transition.

    • Ensure all component materials are secured to meet top-level buffer requirements and transfer deadlines.

    • Lead cross-functional alignment on supply chain execution, working closely with program managers, operations, engineering, and quality teams.

    Supplier Coordination & Procurement Management:

    • Coordinate procurement activities internally and externally to secure on-time delivery of materials.

    • Work closely with suppliers and procurement teams to mitigate supply chain risks.

    • Manage supplier negotiations, purchase order (PO) processing, and contract novation activities.

    • Ensure smooth transition of supplier relationships to the new production site.

    Risk Management & Issue Resolution:

    • Develop and execute a risk management plan to mitigate supply chain disruptions.

    • Proactively identify supply risks and implement contingency plans to ensure project timelines are met.

    • Lead issue resolution efforts related to supplier performance, material shortages, and quality concerns.

    Performance Tracking & Reporting:

    • Establish KPIs to track progress on supply chain readiness and buffer inventory build-up.

    • Prepare reports and present status updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize supply chain execution.

    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Job Requirements

    Required Competencies, Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, business administration

    • 2-5 years of experience in Program Management, Project Management or Engineering

    • Experience within aerospace industry a plus but not required.

    Travel Specificity

    • Potential Business travel up to 25% is likely

     

    This position requires use of information or access to hardware, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).     While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office and laboratory. Constantly operates and use a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier/printer and laboratory machinery. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds across office for various needs.

    Work Environment:

    The work environment is split between office & laboratory work, with most work being performed in the office. Noise level in the office is typically quiet while the noise level in the lab can occasionally require hearing protection.
