Mortgage Servicing

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst Conducts continuous analyses and other tasks to identify and investigate variances of business results against budgets, develop budget and forecasts, maintain accounting records updated and monitor performance of Mortgage Servicing functions.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain an ongoing analysis and monitoring over the Mortgage Business financial results. Analyze variances against budget and identify root causes.

• Analyze multiple expense accounts, coordinate with business owners to forecast total expenses record monthly accruals on a monthly basis.

• Analyze business results and coordinate with owners to develop and record the annual budget and forecast as required.

• Download and manage information from various databases to assemble the Mortgage servicing KPIs and dashboards.

• Analyze Mortgage servicing data and results to identify weaknesses, issues and areas of opportunity.

• Assist the Mortgage Servicing Units in developing and running the system queries and reports as requested. Many of these reports will be recurrent and need to be updated periodically (daily, weekly and monthly).

• Accountable for adhering to the Bank’s BSA, AML and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFCA) applicable policies. Employee must follow specific unit procedures developed in compliance with the policies. Employee is also responsible for reporting any suspicious activity and/or transactions in accordance with the Bank’s processes and comply with any mandatory BSA, AML and OFAC training assigned.

The degree of judgment is related to the integration and coordination of varied elements and its application to specific subjects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Employees performing this job work on an office environment with a comfortable room temperature, good lighting, and quiet conditions. Remote working may be required or authorized as deemed necessary.

• Must be fully bilingual (Spanish/English)

• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision under strict deadlines and must be able to prioritize handling multiple projects.

• Operational mathematics evaluation skills required daily.

• Frequently interact and share information with unit’s officers, employees of other departments, customers and service providers to share information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, preferred, or related field, and/or minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar position. Direct experience in downloading and manipulating data to develop statistics, KPIs and developing business reports. 1-2 years of experience at a financial institution is preferred.
