Job Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff and the operation and overall flow of the units on his/her designated shift, is a role model for all staff, and provides patient care as needed. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring staff meets the approved Standards of Practice, for managing assigned personnel and unit activities and for promoting cooperative working relationships with physicians and other health care providers. He/she is responsible for process and outcome surveillance of the assigned units to ensure standards of care are met. He/she is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. Assists the unit Director in planning, organizing, directing, delegating, and evaluation. The Clinical Supervisor facilitates quality outcomes of patient care and provides leadership in the practice environment.
Job Requirements
a. Minimum Education Requirement :
BS/BSN preferred.
b. Minimum Experience Requirement :
Previous RN supervisory experience preferred. Minimum 2 years experience in critical care required. Excellent customer service skills required.
c. Minimum License Requirement :
California RN license. BLS required. ACLS required within 3 months of hire/transfer. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Certification "A" required within 3 months of hire/transfer for those working at QVH. Annual 8 hours of Stroke Education required.
NICU - NRP required. Annual 1 hour of stroke education required for those working at QVH.
PEDS - PALS required within 3 months of hire/transfer. Annual 1 hour of stroke education required for those working at QVH.
MBCU -
California RN license. BLS required. NRP required. Annual 1 hour of stroke education required for those working at QVH. Lactation Educator within 6 months of hire.

Pay Range:
$55.11 - $84.21
