    Description:

    Journeyman 1 - Electrician – $36.78

     

    **Pay Rate** :

    A J1 Electrician starts at $36.78 per hour. Successful journeymen will have the opportunity to quickly gain new skills and promote into advanced positions earning up to $41.85

    Day Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm

    12 Hour Rotating Shift – 7:00am – 7:00pm or 7:00pm – 7:00am _(once qualified)_

    Position Requirements:

    + Must have one of the following:

    + **Successful completion of electrician apprenticeship or comparable education**

    + **Three (3) or more years of industrial electrical maintenance experience**

    + Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent

    + Must be 18 years or older

    + Eligible for employment in the US

    + Basic computer skills

    + Participate in four-week New Hire Integration(NHI) in a classroom setting

    + Successful completion of 125 Day Probationary Period

    Mill Operations – You must be able to:

    + Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment

    + Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment

    + Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule

    + Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification

    + Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis

    + Respond to emergencies during off hours and weekends

    + Wear required safety equipment and PPE

    + Continue to develop skills to become a multi-skill technician

    + Operate or work in industrial conditions including warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noisy, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Troubleshoot electrical controls

    + Read electronic schematics, blue prints and one lines

    + Maintain variable frequency drives, power distribution and PLCs

    + Troubleshoot and maintain industrial PLC, interpret I/O drawings and identify in the field by I/O address

    + Troubleshoot and Maintain A/C motors

    + Troubleshoot, service, repair and maintain transformers

    + Safely perform work on motor starters, circuit breakers and feeders

    + Ability to further electrical/instrument, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance skills

    + Must have a valid driver’s license

    + Eligible for employment in the US without assistance

    + Basic computer skills

    + Participate in two-week New Hire Integration (NHI) Orientation in a classroom setting

    + Successful completion of 125 Day Probationary Period

    Mill Operations – You must be able to:

    + Undergo pre-employment computer-based testing, panel interviews & a hands on assessment

    + Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment

    + Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule

    + Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification

    + Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis

    + Respond to emergencies during off hours and weekends

    + Wear required safety equipment and PPE

    + Continue to develop skills to become a multi-skill mechanic

    + Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, and heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection)

    + Demonstrate integrity and operate ethically

    + Personal accountability to working safely

    + Drive for success and advancement within the company

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings and technical manuals; fabricate from drawings

    + Precision alignment

    + Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot lubrication systems

    + Troubleshoot, inspect, install and lubricate various bearings and seals

    + Repair and replace rotating assemblies

    + Repair mechanical drive systems

    + Troubleshoot, repair, replace and repack pumps and valves

    + Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps and cylinders

    + Install, troubleshoot and repair product moving systems including conveyor rolls, belts, gates, sheaves and sprockets

    + Operate heavy equipment including cranes, tow motors, scissor lifts, etc.

    + Basic burning, cutting, and welding skills

    + Preventive and predictive maintenance

    + Ability to further general mechanic maintenance skills
